30 SECONDS TO MARS

You can easily contact him in Skype or send a letter via the Internet under one and only condition: you have to sincerely love the work of "30 Seconds to Mars".
"30 Seconds to Mars" is among those rare bands, that think the direct communication with the admirers to be one of the most important factors of its existence. The sincerity of communication for these guys is not a striking image, but their core position in art. Jared Leto has explained it in one of his interview with the fact that it will be impossible to understand "30 Seconds to Mars" without the basic understanding of how their community works. He says that "30 Seconds to Mars" is more than three guys gathered in a band. The name of the group hides the key to the secret of the mechanics of their art. Jared has once been told that "30 Seconds to Mars" is a result of the fans activity. But he himself says that he doesn't even like the mere word "fan". He sees them more as a kindred spirit and, claims Jared, he is always eager to share the experience with the like-minded people and offers them in exchange to participate in the life of the band. According to the leader, the idea of "30 Seconds to Mars" was more than just music. It is a whole life, a priceless experience which all of these people are ready to share with him, Shennon and Tomo. This was how the choir of voices, recorded by the band during the Internet-summit and included into the album "This is War", has appeared.
The reason of such openness to the discussion of any kind with people who sincerely love the work done by the band shall be found in the attitude of the musicians towards their art. Jaret explains that they are open to any intruments that bring the song to live. This is where the magic that conquers millions of admirers all over the world is hidden - in the main idea "to breathe life into the music".  Can they do that through combining the live guitar music and electronic experiments or through the orifinal attitude to the process of songs creation, when they start not from the guitar riff, but from rhythm and melody?
One way or another, the music of "30 Seconds To Mars" can't leave anyone unimpressed, wheter it will be the pierceingly romantic first album "A Beautiful Lie" or the epic "This Is War".
Each album of the band as well as each of its concerts is a fruit of the open and genuine dialog, elaborately built on by some kind of inner tuning fork, when the artist, the music and the audience unite into the undivided whole. That's why every album and every performance will always be the one and only.
When working with the first release, Jaret was recording the guitar, bass, synthesizer and vocal parts himself, leaving the drumms to Shennon. When the second album has been in process of creation, the work was more evenly distributed between two brothers and other members of the band. By the time when the latest album, "This Is War", was released, the cast of the band has been set completely. Back when working on "A Beautiful Lie" album, brothers Leto have been joined by the guitarist Tomo Milishevich, who has become the third official member of the "30 Seconds to Mars" band.  Jared has commented on this, saying that while he himself was a self-taught guitarist, Tomo was a professional. But he says that that is not even the best part in their relations. Jared says that he admires the fact that Tomo is always open to the ideas which he accepts and works hard to embody.
The name of the last album has proved to be right.  The band has not only survived  after going through the multimillion legal claims and trials with the recording companies, but obtained the second breathe and the chance for a new life. The guys say they were pleasantly surprised to know what they are able to do when being suddenlysurrounded with the walls. The musicians say this album has helped them to overcome the past and they are really proud by the result.
Probably the secret of their success is simple as any truth and lies in the ability to be absolutely sincere. Jared says it was always like that. People are either agree with you for 100% or not. We are not striving to have fame of money. "30 Seconds to Mars" is our breathing air, our blood and bones. It is everything, says he.
