"The magic flute" is the third new production staged by "Novaya Opera" in this season. But not the first "Magic Flute" staged in Moscow. The Bolshoi theatre has staged "The Magic Flute" too. Also "Magic Flute" staged by Opera and ballet theatre of Ufa was demonstrated in the frame of Golden Mask Festival.
"Novay opera" presents its interpretation of the well known opera. The action takes place in the Stalin epoch. Male and female worlds fight for power and destroy each other in the end. But the director Achim Freyer created a happy end according to Mozart’s masterpiece. In the end heroes will find themselves in a beautiful country.
The Magic Flute is one of the most mysterious compositions.
