A new production of “Tsar’s Bride” has been staged by famous image-maker and clip-maker Yuri Grymov in Novaya Opera.
Opera created after the drama “The tsar’s Bride” of Lev Mei narrates about the third wedding of Ivan IV and the death of his bride Marpha Sobakina. The action takes place during the oprichnina, so called at that time “special court territory”. This part of the country was placed under Ivan IV’s complete personal dictatorship. Ivan the Terrible spent there a lot of time.

"Yuri Grymov is the author of over 300 advertising videos, which have won almost 50 prizes at both Russian and international festivals. He won a UN award "For particular achievements in social advertising that best reflects the aims and ideals of the UN". Also Yuri Grymov established the first Russia Advertising Studio in 1996.
