THE NIGHT OF THE AD EATERS

“The night of the ad eaters” is one of the key cultural events of the year. Taking place in different countries of the world this extremely popular event is interesting both to advertising and professionals and to everyone who’d like to be up to date with the latest news or has a soft spot for cinema and TV-advertising.   Russian audience has been gladly welcoming “The night” since 1994, but the world premiere of the project has taken place 30 years ago in France. That means that “The Night’2010” will become an anniversary for the project!
“The night of the ad eaters” is a seven hours long show which presents a new selection of 400 TV-ads every year. Each of the videos shown to you has been carefully selected by the owner of “Cinemateca” Jean Marie Boursicot. This eccentric Frenchman has been a collector of advertising masterpieces from all over the world for more than thirty years. There is no big advertising agency that would be happy to get into that collection and every year he is sent around 25 thousand of new ads. That’s how “Cinemateka”, an only advertising museum in the world today, has been developed.  Today its collection includes somewhat a million of ads covering a century of advertising history. Along with the legendary Louvre and Eiffel Tower, Boursicot’s “Cinemateca” has been recognized as the national endowment of France.
At the decision of the countries governments, the 2010 has been claimed to be a year of Russia in France and, consequently, a year of France in Russia. That’s why “The night of the ad eaters” will become even more French, if this is at all possible. For the guests of the night has been prepared a special surprise. You will be able to see an advertising duel “Russia vs. France”, an exclusive collection of commercials, showing how the same product types have been at the same time promoted by Russian and French specs. How about comparing French commercial for famous "Perrier" and an excellent example of Soviet Union advertising of “Baikal” lemonade?
THE STAR CEREMONY will start Moscow premiere. Among the guests of the events are promised the most well-known personages of Russian cinema and show-biz. They will make the almighty STAR JURY, which will choose the best ad of last year. The previous “Night” has been remarkable for outstanding “star activity”. And this time on the guest list are both old participants Yana Rudkovskaya, Pfilipp Kirkorov, Tatyana Lazareva, Michail Shaz etc and new names Evgeniy Pluschenko, Ivan and Andrey Urgants and others. But the general line of show itself, which is yearly held in 50 countries of the world and 40 Russian and CIS countries stays untouched.
“The night of the ad eaters” is not just 400 commercials. Each item of the collection is a small piece of advertising art, ordered by special topics and blocks.  Program includes new ads, retro rarities and acknowledged masterpieces.  You can react however you like to the regular TV-ads. You can switch the channels or just ignore its noisy presence. But the ads from Jean Marie Boursicot’s collection will leave no one indifferent! You can say even that its here you get a taste for high-quality advertising.

Menu of “The Night”:
Jean Marie Boursicot is still drawing the program for 2010 and the detailed information is kept secret for now. But even today we already know that the show-program of Moscow “Night” includes:

- VJ-bar of premium drinks;
- bunny girls from "PlayBoy" (welcoming the audience);
- photo session;
- special actions from the partners of the show,  prize drawing and presents for the audience.
