Reggae music in fact never stopped in its development but we can agree here, that “The Wailers” band and Bob Marley made Jamaican culture famous all over the world. On February, 18, “The Wailers” will bring a piece of sunny South to Moscow “Live Music Hall” with its programme of the best songs, dedicated to the 66th anniversary of Bob Marley.
They have sold over 250 copies of albums in total, received numerous awards and worked together with the world’s favorite stars – Sting, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana and many others have recorded songs in cooperation with the pioneers of this light-hearted music style. Bob Marley was and remains till these days the founder and inspirer of the band, his ideas about social equity carry on spreading throughout the world because of this well-knitted music family. Aston Barret, bas-guitarist from “The Wailers” has turned the world upside down in the 60-s together with Bob Marley. And in the 70-s he was performing the reggae hits in the new team, carefully maintaining and nourishing the very spirit of the rasta-culture.
